New Leaf Restaurant & Bar is located in one of the most unique and special locations in Manhattan. It is nestled in the middle of Fort Tryon Park and is neighbors with The Cloisters museum. After a day of strolling through the park or exploring the museum, a nice meal with a stunning environment is exactly what the doctor ordered. New Leaf sits atop a large hill and looks out over the Hudson, the park, and Northern Manhattan. It offers a great restaurant vibe and seating both inside and out. As well as having a great setting for big events like weddings or birthday celebrations.

The restaurant is often very busy so unless you like waiting I would highly suggest making a reservation. They will do their best to seat you without one, but you could end up waiting for 45 minutes or more. The building was built by John D. Rockefeller as a public cafeteria, but it eventually became deserted. In 1995 Bette Midler re-discovered the structure during a clean-up of the park and helped to turn it into what it is today. It is currently run by Coffeed, a food company that also focuses on being charitable and help with the upkeep of Fort Tryon Park.

Open year round, the space offers all meals from brunch to dinner and have a full bar. Their menu consists of American classics like burgers, steak, cobb salad, and waffles, depending on the time of day. Since it is on the pricier side I think it seems like a special place to take a date, celebrate an anniversary, or even a special mother/daughter night out. There are few places in the city that can top this venue and it is one of the most beautiful spaces for a summer wedding!
