MANY HATS

Many times, as I discuss the various facets of Real Estate with clients, they are surprised at how I can help or the resources that I offer them. An excellent real estate agent --a Sovereign Associates Real Estate agent-- is familiar with the area in which they are showing you apartments and is full of information (sometimes it's useful, sometimes it is just fun). 

At the heart of our brokerage is our local presence. Many of us reside in or near the areas we show, which means we're brimming with local recommendations. Need a locksmith or a cleaner? We've got you covered. Looking for a painter or a handyman? We know just the person. And when it comes to food, our uptown expertise shines through. 

Our job is not just to get you to sign a lease. Our job is to help you get settled into your new home. We love to hear from our clients again. I have watered plants for clients and cat-sat for them when they had to go out of town unexpectedly and had no one else who could. On the flip side, if you have a friend who started a moving company or cleaning service, or you walk dogs as a side hustle, I definitely want to know! 

Above all else, if you have random real estate questions or are curious about what purchasing entails, ASK! I can't speak for all agents, but I love to unpack the headlines with clients. There is so much more to know. I recently had a couple say, "We know it's not a good time to "buy," and I asked why they said that, and they more-or-less pointed at recent headlines about interest rates and how it is such a bad time. 

We went on to have a great conversation about how individually suited the decision to buy is and how your finances are as unique as your thumbprint. So, for some people, it might, in fact, be a terrible time to buy, but for a surprising number of folks, it's a great time to get your foot in the door. There are SO many variables and finance options that people just aren't aware of. Having a clear vision of your goals and why you want to buy is a big part of that picture and deciding if it is a good time or not. 

Having a conversation costs you nothing. At the very least, we can provide resources and information that can be far more in touch with your reality than the gross generality of a mass media article. Our relationship doesn't need to end with one transaction. We are a resource. We are part of your community. Let's stay in touch. Let me show you my many hats!
